Paris is renowned for its modern art and breathtaking scenery. Paris is an ideal location for a romantic weekend break or holiday. A minimum of a week is needed to view the main galleries, visit medieval castles and explore the fabulous gothic churches.

Paris is the capital of France, a glamorous city situated on the banks of the Seine river in the north-western section of France. Paris is famous for its fabulous architecture, good food, and win. It is also renowned for its many street markets and galleries.

Once you arrive in Paris, there are several attractions to visit. The best way to see most of these great places is to get one of the tourist buses that run regularly to all the major attractions through Paris.

A trip down the Champs Elysees is a must when you visit Paris. Paris's most famous street has several shops, cafes, and restaurants along the wide pavements. Champs Elysees is the upmarket area of Paris that attracts thousands of tourists each day.

Paris has several hotel accommodations to offer. The Five-star hotels are near the Champs Elysees. The cheaper hotels in Paris are more outside the city center.

Traveling through the city of Paris can be very pleasurable. Paris has an excellent underground system called the Metro; the Metro runs regular trains into the city center and is very easy to understand. Cycling is also a great way to see the city.

There are so many great places in Paris to visit - way too many to write about them all. The main ones include: The Notre-Dame, Musee du Louvre, Jardin du Luxemburg, and the Arc de Triomphe

The Notre Dame cathedral is a feat of medieval architecture. Pope Alexander the third laid the first stone in 1163. It took 182 years of construction to complete the Notre Dame cathedral.

Musee du Louvre holds some of the most important art collections in the world. The Da Vincis' Mona Lisa and sculptures by Michelangelo are at Musee du Louvre.

Jardin du Luxemburg is the most popular park in Paris. The park covers over 60 acres.

The Arc de Triomphe honors those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. The Arc stands in Place Charles de Gaulle where twelve of Paris's main avenues begin, including Avenue de Champs Elysees.

Paris as a city has attracted artists for centuries. Famous painters like Monet and Picasso spent many years in Paris and, their artworks can be seen in Paris today.
